Vlerick Business School is a leading international school, consistently ranked amongst the top business schools in Europe. We practice what we teach, with a big dose of pragmatic insight. That’s why we are offering a workshop on ideation, given by Lecturer and Sr researcher Yannick Dillen. Yannick is active in our Masters and MBA programmes as lecturer and start-up coach and is amongst others involved in the Impulse Centre for Growth Management. In this workshop, Yannick will cover the four essential steps of entrepreneurship. From idea to growth.

"Challenges in Sustainability” by Hans Fastenaekels

Vyncke Clean Energy Technology is a Belgian company that manufactures industrial energy plants that convert biomass waste and sorted industrial waste into green and clean energy.
Hans Fastenaekels, the CTO of Vyncke, will illustrate the challenges that Vyncke faces and the industrial energy sector in general on the road to sustainability.

Hans Fastenaekels, the CTO of Vyncke, will illustrate the challenges that Vyncke faces and the industrial energy sector in general on the road to sustainability.

“Making an initial Business Model Canvas” by Johan Geysen

VITO is an independent Flemish research organization in the area of cleantech and sustainable development. Their goal is to drive the transition to a sustainable world. This workshop is given by Johan Geysen. Johan is a senior advisor and among other things supports the generation of spin-offs at VITO. In this workshop Johan will elucidate how to set up you initial Business Model Canvas (BMC). A BMC is crucial for startups, it is designed to guide thinking through each of the key components or building blocks for devising a business model.

Workshop Pitching by The Bårn

The Bårn is a Leuven-based organization that aims to stimulate and support local (student) entrepreneurship. They attract talent by the principle of inform & inspire while facilitating the growth of projects by providing coaching, a network and infrastructure, following partnerships with seasoned experts and organizations.

Belgian final

After months of hard work and brainstorming the main event of this year’s CleanTech Challenge is in sight. On the 28th of March the Belgian Finals of the CleanTech Challenge will take place in Groep T. Here, the teams of the CTC 23/24 will pitch their cleantech idea in front of a jury with a chance of getting their ticket to the international finals in London.

International final London

The all-round winners will go to London where they will participate in the international finals, organized by LBS and UCL. They will compete for the title of CTC winner of 2023-2024 and earn a £20.000 investment in their idea.
